Jabra introduces the Perform series, designed with frontline workers in mind!
What is the Perform series?
Jabra always conducts research into how workplaces are evolving and they turned over every stone in doing so with this series. As workers have been moving to use platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom it has been noticed this is also transitioning into the frontline of businesses too.
Jabra wants to support this transition and in doing so has designed the Perform series with Frontline workers in mind.
Can I wear this all day?
At only 18 grams the Jabra Perform 45 has been designed with all-day use in mind, you can wear it on either ear thanks to its multidirectional microphone boom. You can customise the fit with three different sizes of ear gels included and thanks to its slim design you will always look professional.
What can I connect the Perform 45 to?
Connectivity is no issue here, you can pair it with up to 8 devices via the 5.1 Bluetooth and also use the NFC function for Android users, simply touch the headset to your android device and it is paired.
You can also use this with PTT platforms such as Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie (*) and Zebra Workforce Connect. No configuration is necessary as either application will automatically set itself up to the headset.
How does Bluetooth reach 100m?
Bluetooth carries two main power classes, Class 1 – Up to 100m/300ft or Class 2 – Up to 10m/30ft. For a Class 1 device to reach the 100m advertised it will also need to be connected to another Class 1 device. if it is connected to a Class 2 device it will be limited to the range of Class 2.
Also worthy of mention is that range is also affected by environmental factors and electromagnetic interference meaning if you in an environment where there are a lot of other Bluetooth signals or electronics in general, you may experience reduced range.
How does this compare to the Jabra Talk 65 and BlueParrott M300-XT?
The Perform 45 has been designed to be lighter than both and is also slimmer with more intuitive button positions for a better interaction level with the user. You can also ensure you have a face-to-face conversation due to the microphone boom having an auto-mute feature when you raise it.
Along with additional customisation options through Jabra Direct and Xpress you also have access to a 5-way charger for applications where multiple units are deloyed.
(*) Not to be confused with the standard Microsoft Teams for computers. The Jabra Perform 45 can connect to computers via Bluetooth but it will have limited functionalities. If you need a headset to be used with Microsoft Teams on a computer best to use one that is UC and includes a dongle.
